GOLD & the Art of the Goldsmith
As part of Coutts' London Jewellery Week, Tyger Glyn is highlighting
the work of 5 of London's most exceptional designer goldsmiths. Donna
Brennan, Daphne Krinos, Catherine Martin, Jo Hayes Ward & Leo Pieroni.
Each one-off piece being showcased in this selling exhibition has been
individually hand-made in 18ct, 22ct or 24ct fine gold, using techniques
that vary from the most ancient to the most modern. Some of these goldsmiths
use just gold, others combine the gold with diamonds and other gemstones.
All are renowned for their rare ability to combine their immense technical
skill with superb and original design, and for creating remarkable pieces
which are bold yet subtle and always a joy to wear.
