FT How to Spend It – February 2014

We were delighted that Vivienne Becker picked up on young duo Shimell & Madden, Miranda Rhys Williams’ latest addition to Tyger Glyn’s stable of upcoming jewellers, in her article on the new trend for geometry in fine jewellery in the FT How To Spend It’s special arts edition “Smart Arts’, February 2014. Following the launch of their first fine jewellery collection in September 2013, Tyger Glyn included Shimell & Madden‘s collection in TG’s Christmas 2013 show of exciting goldsmiths and took them on to COLLECT 2014 at the Saatchi Gallery as part of Tyger Glyn’s ‘Geometry & Words’ exhibition.

Since then they’ve also been taken up by Stephen Webster’s Rock Vaults programme and Dover Street Market as well and been much written about and feted – as they should be. Funnily enough on the opposite page to their ring was the advert for the fantastic Post Grad Diploma in Asian Art at SOAS, that Tyger Glyn’s founder, Miranda Rhys Williams had just completed…

It so happened that Tyger Glyn also featured on the Eclectibles page of this issue with some of Daphne Krinos‘s wonderful cufflinks. This design is a favourite amongst Tyger Glyn clients and is available in a variety of coloured precious stones.
