Scream’s dazzling end of year presentation, “All That Glitters!” is a show where Art, Sculpture and Jewellery join forces. In collaboration with TygerGlyn it stars Andrew Logan, Francesca Bristol and Bianca Smith and is supported by the stunning work of other guest artists and designer goldsmiths. The exhibition will run from 6th – 23rd December.
Andrew Logan creates sculpture, portraits and jewellery made from mirrors, often broken, cracked and fragmented. Logan sets them into resin alongside mirror beads, glass of other kinds and glitter to create enchanting individual pieces. London’s National Portrait Gallery, The Costume Institute and Metropolitan Museums in New York are just a few of the public collections which hold his work. In addition, his many private collectors, who include Brian Eno, Julie Christie, Zandra Rhodes, Sir Elton John and HRH the late Queen Mother, treasure his creations.
Francesca Bristol’s sculptural jewellery is inspired by nature, as well as ancient stones such as Egyptian porphyry and Tibetan turquoise. Her silver pieces are based on the instinct for self defence: sting ray skin that is dyed blood red, ivory, blue and sea green, is set into silver pendants shaped like ancient spearheads and bound with silver wire. In addition to her silver range, Bristol creates futuristic bracelets and collar necklaces from brightly coloured acrylic, often set with dried leaves or feathers. Her work is frequently featured in British and Italian Vogue, Harper’s and W. Magazine.
